Registration
How it works
First register online and enter your contact details. At the check-in counter at the Lagalb mountain station, you can purchase your challenger kit for CHF 10. Then you’re ready to go! You can do the ascents and descents in any order you want. You can decide on your own strategy. Find out more about how the challenge works in the PDF.
Membership fee
When you complete the challenge, you automatically become a club member for the current season. The following year, you will need to pay a membership fee of 8,848 centimes (CHF 88.48) in order to remain an active member. Adolescents under 18 years of age pay half the normal fee (CHF 44.24). If you do not pay the membership fee, you automatically become a passive member at the end of the year and therefore lose your membership benefits. You can only become a member if you have completed the challenge.
If you pay the active member fee without completing the Club 8848 challenge, the amount will be recorded as a patron’s donation.
Club 8847
Former members of Club 8847 are automatically accepted into Club 8848 as honorary members, but they must report their status to the Board of Directors. Unfortunately, we do not have access to any old documentation from the previous club.
